Chengdu has two international airports
- Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, located in the southeastern part of Chengdu, is one of China’s national-level international aviation hubs, covering an area of approximately 40 square kilometers.
- Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, located in the southwestern part of Chengdu, is one of China’s eight major regional hub airports.

- 2 operational international airports, Total International Routes: 73 (direct) + 120+ (connecting). Airlines Operated: 35+ international carriers.
- International: Approximately 100 daily international flights, with significant growth in European and Southeast Asian routes.
- Domestic: Over 1,600 daily flights, with peak routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou (60, 49, and 36 daily flights respectively from both airports)
- 13 operational metro lines, with total network length exceeding 600 km.
- Coverage: Direct access to major transportation hubs, including both international airports and main railway stations.
- Capacity: Daily ridership exceeds 7 million passengers, ranking among the top in China.
- Expansion: Continuous development with new lines under construction, aiming to reach 1,000 km by 2035.
